About Teenage Helpline

Teenage Helpline is an online mentoring service run by young people to be used by young people. The aims of Teenage Helpline are to provide the first stepping-stone for young people who may need to get professional support, but do not feel comfortable seeking this support for themselves. Not only this, but we also provide mentoring for young people who do not need professional support, but who need a little extra attention and support to help them cope with other personal issues.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our charity and contribute to our aim of supporting youth to fulfil their best potential. As Training Coordinator, you will play an important role, liaising with various departments and individuals within Teenage Helpline and then feeding back to the training team and coordinating which training programmes are essential to build and prioritise for our mentors and volunteers. This will include ensuring that initial mentor and volunteering training is up to date, creating departmental training programmes and tracking the delivery, completion and feedback of training materials. You will also need to work with the training team to certify that the training hub is relevant and that materials are accessible. You will need to be creative, organised, have good time management skills and be confident with communicating with people in different departments as well as your own.

We are looking for a collaborative individual who is organised and can see the bigger picture of the impact they will have on our charity. The role is voluntary therefore, experience is not necessary and is suitable for students or recent graduates from various courses, looking to develop their skills whilst working from home. If you do have any experience in creating and tracking training programmes to completion or coordinating tasks please highlight this in your application.

Key responsibilities:

· Coordinating tasks within the team and collaborating with other departments to ensure training needs are being met.

· Working with the training team in the creation of training programmes and in the tracking of training materials to completion

· Ensuring that training programmes are relevant, up to date and accessible to everyone in the organisation.


Skills:

· Strong IT skills are desirable but not required, as most of the work will not require much IT literacy

· Excellent organisation and time management skills

· The ability to work individually but also collaborate effectively with other members across the organisation

· Creative and driven individual wanting to drive this programme forward
